Not Everything Fits Yet
Not Everything Fits Yet The living room sweats without an air conditioner, an old fan spinning, promising more than it gives. Clothes pile up on the chair, three days, maybe four, waiting on a washer that still hasn’t arrived. Daniela watches Friends on the couch, laughing at a joke she already knows by heart, and the sound of that laugh beats the heat, beats the fan that isn’t enough, beats the pile of unwashed clothes. The business keeps going the way the laptop stays open past midnight, the screen the only light still awake in the house, one more email, one more client, while everyone sleeps and I’m still there, sitting, insisting. The air is missing. The washer is missing. But tonight I have this hot little room, this laugh I already know by heart, and a plan that keeps walking even if it limps. Today I’m grateful. Not because it’s finished. Because I have someone to sit next to on a couch with no air, and still laugh anyway.

Minimalism can come with a lot of joy too.✌️🤍
